Who may consider permanent residence?
There is no single universal route. Each ground has its own conditions and evidence.
Polish origin
Declaration of Polish nationality, the required ancestry and evidence of ties with Polish identity.
Pole’s Card
A valid Pole’s Card and an intention to settle permanently in Poland.
Spouse of a Polish citizen
At least three years of marriage and generally two years of continuous residence on the qualifying basis.
Children and family ties
Specified situations involving minor children of a Polish citizen or a foreign national with indefinite residence.
Protection and other grounds
Including asylum, international protection, humanitarian or tolerated stay, subject to the relevant conditions.
